About me

6_edited.jpg

Hey, I am Simona. I started Abuelita’s Wellbeing during the lockdown, a project that kept me engaged and gave me much needed motivation during those uncertain times.

I am a massage therapist, a social entrepreneur, and a creative at heart. After a prolonged period of poor mental health, I made the decision to gift myself regular massage sessions to help with my recovery. These sessions helped me to begin to overcome the struggles I was facing and to feel embodied again. This experience gave me insight into the depth and potential of the mind-body connection and inspired me to become a practitioner myself. I wanted to give back what I had received through regular self-care and a wellbeing routine.

My journey has helped awaken my intuitive side, which complements my professional skills. I have a passion for Anatomy and Physiology, Bodynamic, and the Somatic approach to the mind-body connection, which I study in my free time.

I offer a safe space for all of you looking to heal. My work is based on kindness,  non-judgment, inclusivity, and confidentiality. I truly believe we can change our future and discard what's not needed when we find the right support and allow ourselves to receive that support.

PERSONAL MISSION

Alongside my massage therapies, I am building a Community Interest Company with a heart.

Its mission: to make wellbeing treatments more accessible to those struggling with mental health challenges,

from an economic and/or social disadvantaged background.

Any purchase or donation on this website, contributes to supporting my journey.

and sustains my non-paid work with the CIC.

I am extremely greatful for the support. Thank you!

Yours,

Simona Ilincariu
