Nutritional Therapy
The power of nutrients and food to address deep rooted unbalances and thrive
What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional therapy is a holistic approach to improving health by addressing imbalances in the body through food and nutrition. A nutritional therapist is a trained healthcare professional who uses this method to enhance overall well-being. By considering the body as a whole—including medical history, mood, and lifestyle—nutritional therapy aims to optimize bodily functions and promote better health.
Food significantly impacts health, mood, and physical condition, making it a practical and effective starting point for improving well-being and thriving.
Areas of Specialty
Our in-house Nutritional Therapist, Lucia, has extensive expertise in various areas, including gut health (such as IBS, SIBO, candida, stool and food intolerance tests), women's hormonal health (including PCOS, endometriosis, PMS, and perimenopause), chronic and post-viral fatigue, diabetes, weight management, and cognitive and emotional wellness. Lucia continues to expand her knowledge, currently pursuing a master's in eating disorders management.
What to expect?
Prior to appointments, clients will be asked to complete a questionnaire detailing their current health, goals, medical history, lifestyle habits, and a 3-day food diary. This information provides a comprehensive overview, allowing the therapist to tailor the most effective plan.
Diet Review
A 45-minutes appointment where the therapist reviews and presents a personalized diet plan based on the questionnaire responses. The plan will reflect individual preferences and lifestyle, ensuring it is uniquely suited to the client's goals.
4 or 9-Week Packages – Where Transformation Begins
These packages are designed to address deep-rooted health issues, starting with an initial one-hour session to explore health concerns and develop a customized therapeutic plan. This session is followed by either 2 or 4 additional 30-minute follow-ups to monitor progress and adjust the plan as needed.
Testing Package – Test and Don’t Guess
To address specific health concerns accurately, functional medicine tests are utilized for detailed data. The therapist will recommend the most appropriate tests, interpret the results in a comprehensive one-hour session, and create a highly personalized plan. Follow-up sessions will include two 30-minute appointments to review progress and plan the next steps to achieve optimal health goals.
