We are a Community Interest Company

Empowering change . Transforming lives

What being Community Interest Company actually means

It means every decision we make is guided by one question: how does this benefit the people we serve?

We're not here to maximise profit. We're here to build a wellbeing space that's genuinely accessible, especially to people who've been left behind by standard healthcare and commercial wellness. Being a Community Interest Company means our profits stay in the mission.

Every year, we ask ourselves: how can we do more? How can we reach the people who need us most? How can we build something that's truly sustainable?

Our impact so far

2024 - The Beginning

We organised our first dedicated wellbeing workshops for Mama Suze CIC, including warm meals and community space. We also began offering low-cost sessions to people in our wider community who couldn't afford standard rates.

2025— Growing Our Reach

We provided 14 one-to-one therapy sessions for women in refuge. Our business model meant that for every 2 memberships sold, we could offer 1 free session to someone who needed it most. We organised more wellbeing workshops with the same model for Mama Suze CIC.

2026— Deepening Support

  • We delivered chair massage visits to Mama Suze CIC and Restart Lives Charity.

  • We returned to Mama Suze with additional workshops and a warm meal for 6 refugee women.

  • We provided 40 free therapy sessions (and counting) to refugee women and others in our community living with PTSD, endometriosis, fibromyalgia, and nervous system dysregulation.

  • We're now monitoring long-term outcomes of this integrated health support - because we're not just offering one-off sessions; we're tracking whether this actually changes lives

How is this possible

It's not magic. It's people.

Our wonderful volunteers handle the admin work that would otherwise consume our time and resources. Grants from Islington Council, the Coop, and Nisa have funded much of this work. We've received small but mighty donations from people who believe in what we're doing. And most importantly, our team, our practitioners, our admin support, our partners, are genuinely committed to this mission. They show up, not just for clients, but for each other and for the work. That's not a business model. That's a commitment.

How your support creates impact

Together, we are building a model where care flows both ways. When you take care of yourself or your team, you are caring for someone else.

For individuals

When you invest in your own wellbeing, you help us offer free therapy sessions to individuals facing chronic pain, PTSD, women in refuges, and other vulnerable groups.

For every 2 memberships, we provide 1 free therapy session per year to a person facing social or economic barriers

For companies

Partnering with Abuelita's supports your team's wellbeing while creating meaningful social impact. For every £2,000 spent annually, we organise a wellbeing mini-retreat for six refugee women

Who are we supporting?

As part of our mission to bring holistic therapies to those who need them most, we are proud to partner with Mama Suze CIC, a women-led arts organisation dedicated to enhancing the lives of women survivors of forced displacement and gender-based violence through weekly creative workshops.

In complementing their mission, we provide holistic therapies and self-care education. Together, Mama Suze and Abuelita's Wellbeing are creating safe, inclusive environments where women can explore their creativity, rebuild confidence, and find strength in community. This collaboration combines the healing power of art with holistic wellbeing practices to support women on their journeys toward empowerment and self-discover.

We also work with Restart Lives Charity, bringing wellbeing support to vulnerable individuals in our community.

Our Community  Programmes

  • Community yoga class in Hackney: Accessible-pricing class (£3) designed to remove barriers to attending.

  • Subsidised access for people on low incomes: Case-by-case and availability basis, no formal application required.

  • Wellbeing-day retreats for groups of refugee women: Six women per retreat, fully facilitated, food provided.
